There are lots of different roles. Financial planners focus on the future, and insurance professionals work to assess risk and resolve insurance claims. Then there are investment and pensions specialists who look at how funds perform before offering advice, and tax experts who work for the government or advise businesses.

You have to be logical with good attention to detail, as well as being good with figures. A digital mindset is very important too - you need to learn, unlearn and even relearn because the business world changes so fast.
